Beautiful Baby Girl – Rochester NY Newborn Photographer

This post means a lot to me. Not only did I get to photograph a beautiful 5 day old baby girl, she just so happens to be baby girl number 2 from one of my childhood best friends! As well as the first baby girl of the year among all of my pregnant friends (all having girls!). I brought Liam and Shawn along with me to this shoot. Normally I don’t do that, but since the men could hang out together and the kids could play together it allowed mommy and I to focus on baby girl’s photo shoot! It was the perfect day, 80 degrees in March! We didn’t have to worry much about her being startled by cold air. The only thing we had to worry about was the lack of diaper time. Hey it happens. Newborn sessions are messy I admit. They are also soo worth it. Mom walked away from the session, not only with images she will cherish forever, but with a memory she will never forget! Enjoy browsing through some of my favorites from the session. I chose all black and white to show in this blog post, because I feel like it encompasses the feeling of the day.

Mom and I decided on simple photos. She isn’t into frilly, girly things, and that is totally OK. Sometimes they take away from the beauty of the baby herself!

It’s a…………………….

My fabulous friends Melissa & Jim are having a baby! They wanted to find out the sex of the  baby in a non-conventional way. What better way then to have a party!! To prepare for the party they had the ultrasound tech write the sex of the baby on a card and seal it in an envelope. They then sent it directly to another great friend, Michelle, from Shell’s Sweets. The idea is, Michelle would make them a cake and the inside would be either pink or blue, when they cut into the cake, along with a close group of family and a few friends, they found out what they are having…

The entire house was decorated in pink & blue. Melissa did a fantastic job covering all the details!

After a short hesitation because Jim wasn’t ready yet, they cut into the cake…

Many congratulations to Melissa & Jim! I could not be happier that I was able to share such an exciting day with them.

101 in 1001 Begins Today

I have been sitting on posting this list for a few weeks now, for the main reason that I am indecisive and at times, a perfectionist, but I realized that if I don’t get this list posted soon, some of my goals will have to be taken off and I will have to think of more. I guess that is a good problem to have?  :)

The idea behind this list comes from this website: The Day Zero Project. Compile a list of 101 goals, to complete in 1001 days, which is just under 3 years. The idea behind this is the list is inspiring but not impossible to complete. The list has to be detailed so your goals can be measured. I struggled with this on a few items in my list but decided to just go for it, and see what happens.

Valentine’s Boudoir Rochester NY Photographer

I had a wonderful last minute session with Miss M just before Valentine’s Day. She wanted to surprise her hubby with something that is so unlike her. She contacted me and we got a last minute session together. She texted me a lot of options for wardrobe the night before, I loved seeing ahead of time what she was planning on wearing. She made very classy and beautiful choices. Even adding some of his clothing in the mix. To top it off, we had a mini cupcake session. Her dream is to open a bakery someday. Here is Miss M’s “sweet” boudoir session…enjoy!

I had a boudoir session with this gorgeous woman just last week. I want to be sure her hubby is truly surprised for Valentine’s Day, so for now, just a peek. Look for more of the session this week. There are definitely some “sweet” surprises!
